michelangelo o'hannegan
one (appears nineteen)
male
bisexual
breeder/coordinator
dark arceus cult
arbok gijinka
who's behind you
dual major: normal breeder / dressage coordinator.
preferred starter pair: equine.
angel || male || bold
shed skin || poison fang
angel's arbok heritage manifests in a variety of ways, the most obvious being his purple hair and blood red, reptilian eyes. his forked tongue is accompanied by long, thin fangs where his canines should be- they're fully functional, too, complete with their own supply of venom, so you'd best be careful. though he isn't quite cold-blooded he greatly enjoys sunbathing and gets sluggish in the cold. his poison typing has given him a taste for cigarettes, and his shed skin ability manifests itself rather literally in that when he finds himself burned or frozen he can peel off the top layer of skin, which comes off in a shimmering sheet looking not unlike small, smooth scales- yeah, it's pretty much just as unpleasant as it sounds.

diggin' deeper and deeper
angel's most obvious trait would probably be his curiosity. being somewhat new to the world, he hasn't been exposed to everything that most people take for granted, and thus he finds himself endlessly fascinated with everything around him. he enjoys exploring, discovering, and learning, especially when it comes to pokemon, as every individual is different and no matter how much he studies there are always more things to learn. not that his curiosity is always a good thing, as it often finds him poking his nose in places it doesn't belong- he loves gossip and getting up in other peoples' business, which isn't always appreciated.
which leads us to trait number two: oh, sure, he might have a habit of talking big, but when push comes to shove he can be kind of a wimp. he has a definite dramatic flair and can occasionally be almost cruel when teasing people- he loves getting big reactions, all in the name of discovery and science, of course- but all it really takes is the threat of a physical fight and he's out of there, often running straight back to father with his tail between his legs. he doesn't deal well with pain, he doesn't like getting dirty, and he might very well kill you (er, well, have father's dragons kill you) if you ruin his favorite clothes. alright, so he's a bit childish sometimes- he's only a year old, you can't really blame him- but he is rather attached to his physical things, especially his clothes, and gets very upset if you disturb them. he's quite territorial, and thus gets possessive and clingy, though he doesn't mean any harm by it.
not that he means harm by anything, really, but that doesn't mean he doesn't cause trouble. he occasionally has issues with the whole 'other people have feelings too' thing. maybe it's just because he was raised by mirun, but he does have a rather sadistic side, especially when performing actions 'for science'. he does have some morals, of course, but those mainly apply to pokemon, gijinka, and his dac brethren, and any hesitation he feels in hurting someone is quite quickly forgotten in the face of an order from father or the dark arceus. he's very eager to please them, and causing a little pain to someone he doesn't know is well worth making his loved ones happy. he can be a little loud, a little dramatic, even downright flamboyant at times, but he knows what he wants and he isn't afraid to chase after it, no matter what he has to go through to get it.

a little background check
angel did not exactly have a normal childhood- or rather, he never had a childhood at all. he may only be one year old, sure, but the very first time he opened his eyes he was fully grown and functioning mentally. for you see, Angel is not the first of his kind to walk the phoenix region. he just so happens to be the result of an experiment performed by the scientist mirun upon the gijinka known as raphael- in other words, he's a clone. he came into this world complete with all of raphael's memories, though they're fuzzy and distant, and he can tell they aren't his. he was born already knowing most important life skills- walking, talking, reading, even fighting- but knowing of the world and actually knowing it are two separate things, and thus in those first few weeks of life especially he approached the world as if he was seeing it for the first time, endlessly fascinated with even the smallest things.
he was taken in by mirun as if he were the man's own son, and he took to the life happily, embracing his father and brothers wholeheartedly. he only happened to meet raphael once, on the day he was born- it was incredibly strange to look at him, for one thing, and the other never seemed to like him much. angel himself never quite got it, although he had to admit he enjoyed the reactions he got out of the other, and needless to say the relationship between the two twins quickly soured. not that angel cared about that, of course, as he had his own family now, all of whom he adored.
it was all a bit overwhelming at first, though, and so he took some time to himself to try to figure out what was going on in his head- having two sets of memories could be quite confusing, especially since he shared none of raphael's beliefs. he decided to wait a bit on deciding what he wanted to do with his life, preferring just helping out around the house to actually setting out on his own. after all, simply living in the o'hannegan home was an adventure in itself.
he spent most of his time in his room at the lab, reading books and helping father care for the pokemon, absorbing all the information he could get his hands on. after he'd had a bit of time to grow into himself father introduced him to their dark father, the dark arceus, whose beliefs angel embraced wholeheartedly. not that he did missions or anything, of course, as despite his best efforts he was still rather, ah, clumsy for a while. it was hard being six months old sometimes, it really was, and besides, knowing how to fight and being good at it were two different things. through his time in mirun's lab he discovered a love of learning, and developed an interest in both of father's main hobbies, not only breeding but also science and gijinka experiments.
finally, as the anniversary of his creation finally approached (he felt weird calling it a birthday, he was never born after all) he decided that he felt confident enough to strike out and start a breeding practice of his own- though his time with his brother kanashi had also given him a bit of flair for the dramatic, and he decided to go into coordinating as well. oh, and of course he still wanted to help father in the lab, and learn science and stuff too- this was such a big world, with so many things to learn! he couldn't wait for father to give him his first official starters so he could begin to make a name for himself, as well as bring honor to his father and his dark father alike.
