Pouring the watery feed into the other buckets, Mirun patted the noses of the Rapidash before he left the bark, toting several buckets at once before throwing them in the back of a cart. The race season was about to start, and that was a time to make some serious money. Many bidders would be bidding on his horses, all different ones, so usually Mirun won anyway, the only problem was making sure the horses were in good condition. He wasn't allowed to race himself, especially since many of them would be racing at the same time, in different tracks. Of course he had to train them himself and exercise them. Kanashi was taking care of the other Pokemon at this time, as well as the odd helper here and there, but overall, he had parted the responsibilities between both of his sons for another reasons, too. One day the whole facility and the job of training new breeders would fall to both of them, and probably Kanashi would get full ownership of the facility while William took hold of Mirun's current position as head breeder. So it was training in a way. Falling back, Mirun landed on a bale of hay in one of the barns, giving a tired sigh before he let his eyes close. A nap wouldn't hurt, right? Well, it wouldn't hurt after he got the best horses this year and sent them on their training runs. Trots, jumping, then general galloping would get them warmed up for the races next month. Of course everything was going to be harder since the capital was taken over. It seemed that things were just getting more difficult. He couldn't let a little bit of shift in the rulers ruin his business. Hell, he would breed war Pokemon if he had to. He had plenty to breed them with. Given they were the most violent and usually he had to fertilize the eggs in a tube then inject them into a sleeping female since the parents would fight each other if they were placed in the same room. Then you had the issue of the general business of running this facility. It was getting difficult. Everyday it got harder and harder to wake up and get to work. Mirun figured it was because he was nearing the time he had to visit the hospital to take a break from his medication, but he felt it was due to other things. He hadn't taken a break for the past three months. He had worked from five am to eleven pm every day. Going to bed at about one. It was usual, nothing out of the ordinary except he was spending more time with the horses and riding because his head trainer was in the hospital after an 'accident'. He deserved it, but now Mirun had to train the horses himself. He usually did but the fact remained that extra help was nice. Sighing and rolling onto his side, he didn't have the will to get back up, not at that moment. As if sensing it, Mozart yawned and laid down on another bale of hay, keeping a lazy eye on the horses. It seemed like it was going to be one of those days. -- peach ; hope this is alright! owo

If I fall back downyou're gonna help me back ---up again* Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make it alright Got my enemies crossed out in my sight I take a bad situation gonna make it right In the shadows of darkness I stand in the light You see it's our style to keep it true I've had a bad year, a lot to go through I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue She's not the one coming back for you She's not the one coming back for you* The drive way leading up to the pokemon barns was a far longer one than Cyrus remembered. Had it really been so long since he'd been here? Long enough he'd forgotten a few things. Cyrus winced. He hadn't meant to be gone this long. He just hoped Mirun didn't outright kill him. Daffodil gave a concerned bark as she trotted alongside him. The trainer had been sorely tempted to release his Xerneas and ride the deer but it was still young and he deserved the pain he was in. He'd taken a mission in them middle of the night thinking it would only take a few days and the pay out was nice. Now here he was with a fat bank account but a limp and a cane. Not to mention the hospital stay and sudden several month long disappearance.
Iris walked ahead, her one uncovered eye glaring at the world around her. She wasn't happy about having been cooped up for so long but that just meant she was ready to go to defend Cyrus should Mirun or anyone else intercept them. Cyrus chuckled, taking a break and leaning against the head of his cane. "It seems I'm more out of shape than I originally thought. That or Mirun had the barns moved back a few hundred yards."
The feilds were green as ever and the pokemon playful and strong. Mirun knew what he was doing but then again how else would he be the regions top breeder? Oh how he'd missed the blond man. The thought of returning home had kept him going over the last few weeks. Nothing else in his life made it worth to work his muscles and re learn to walk. His pokemon were important dont' get him wrong but.. Mirun was special. He was his other half, no matter how much Cyrus managed to screw things up for himself.
Taking a breath he limped on, following Iris's lead as she sniffed out Mirun or more likely Mozart. He followed her inside the stables, a fond smile growing in his face as he spotted Mirun curled up. Limping as fast as he could, Cyrus made his way over. He grinned, a warmth growing in his chest as he watched the relaxed face of his lover. He was sorely tempted to reach out and run his fingers through the blond hair but Cyrus knew full well Mirun could go from angel to kick ass ninja when startled. "Mirun darling, are you awake?" He asked softly, just in case the breeder really was asleep.

The giant brute of a dragon lifted his head, grey outlining some of his scales. He, like Mirun, had gotten older, but the dragon was aging faster. Mirun feared he would have to retire Mozart soon, but the dragon wouldn't be caught dead being put into retirement. He was Mirun's protector, his guard dog, and he would be damned if anyone tried to take that from him. Even Mirun. A familiar scent had filled his nose, making the dragon give a small growl, trying to stir Mirun from his light sleep. Nothing. Oh well, the Haxorus felt no true threat. He lowered his head again, watching the two come into the barn. Mozart would never show it, but he was overjoyed to see the Mawile again, his tail giving a small twitch. His eyes shifted over to Cyrus, sparing a glance before the dragon moved to offer enough room on the hay bail for the other Pokemon to rest on. The voice made Mirun stir a bit. It sounded familiar, but not one he had heard in a long time. His eyes opened and stared at the stalls, the horses all munching away on their food as if nothing was going on. Then his gaze shifted, finally landing on the white haired man. Oh, hey, it was Cyrus. That was nice. He was about to fall back asleep before it hit him. It was Cyrus. He sat up fast, ignoring the hay that had stuck to his clothes, probably some in his hair even. Oh to hell with it, shampoo existed for a reason, right? His eyes were set on Cyrus, taking in the cane and his Pokemon before he stood up, anger boiling in his stomach. Yes, he was overjoyed to see Cyrus again, he really was. Nothing made Mirun happier than seeing the man alive and well, especially since they went without any contact for so long, but still. Too many times something like that had happened, and only this time did someone come back. He opened his mouth as if to yell, before his shoulders slumped. No, he didn't have the energy. "You fucking jackass," he mumbled, moving to hug Cyrus tightly. "I have half a mind to through you to the hounds, you know." His body was shaking, his eyes stinging. He felt as if he was going to be sick. His stomach heaved at the sudden waves of emotions hitting him, making him slightly loopy, but by Dark Arceus was he happy. His fingers curled, almost digging into Cyrus's shirt. He would address the cane later, see if he could do anything to get rid of the horrid thing and get Cyrus back to normal, but for now, he wanted to enjoy the moment of finally having something back he thought he had lost. It was so hard to think you lost someone due to your own faults, and seeing Cyrus alive and well made Mirun's horrible past few months seem so much better. -- peach ; Cyrus, bby, what happened D:

If I fall back downyou're gonna help me back ---up again* Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make it alright Got my enemies crossed out in my sight I take a bad situation gonna make it right In the shadows of darkness I stand in the light You see it's our style to keep it true I've had a bad year, a lot to go through I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue She's not the one coming back for you She's not the one coming back for you* Iris gave a happy purr to see her giant dragon again. Despite her wanderings, no other dragon had ever compared to the brute. She happily climbed up onto the hay, content to leave Cyrus to Mirun. He deserved whatever he got and she had her dragon to cuddle with. The mawile properly greeted Mozart and curled right up against his side with a smile. Daffodil stayed close by Cyrus's side, tossing a disapproving glare at Iris.
Cyrus kept a smile in place all through out Mirun's reactions. It was an automatic response really. Honed over many years and even while in pain physically or emotionally, he could keep that smile there. At the moment he was just so happy to see Mirun again he didn't care how much he was getting his ass chewed out for disappearing. That smile fell a little as Mirun's shoulders slumped and no truly angry words came. His eyes opened in concern as the other man was clinging to him and hugging him tightly. Cyrus had figured that Mirun would be so angry he would be tossed out the door after being thoroughly cussed out. This was... unexpected and it made his chest hurt.
Dropping the cane, Cyrus wrapped his arms around the blond and had no problem clinging just as tightly. It seemed he'd been missed just as much as he'd missed Mirun. It was a little wobbly to balance on one leg but he wasn't about to the let the other go. He didn't fight it as the tears came, burying his face in Mirun's hair. Oh how he'd missed this man. "Yes, yes I'm an asshole. I'm so sorry my love. If it would make you feel better you are more than welcome to toss me to the hounds." His grip tightened and it was probably making it hard for Mirun to breathe but he didn't want to let go. "I'm so, so sorry. I've come back more than willing to beg as long as possible. I love you, will you take me back. Please oh please say yes. I never want to let you go again." Cyrus wasn't above getting on his hands and knees right now, no matter how difficult. He'd brave a herd of Touros is it was asked of him. Oh god he'd even missed the man's smell. This was torture of the sweetest kind. ❚ WORDS so many xx - ❚ TAGS Dew- ❚ NOTES Hope this is okay?

Of course Mirun was angry, he was pissed, agitated, and annoyed beyond belief. He did have half a mind to throw Cyrus to the hounds, in fact, he had half a mind to tie him down in a pit of starving Houndoom and let them rip him to shreds while he watched. But the joy of seeing Cyrus back, seeing he was alive, and just knowing that he came back for him was enough to tone Mirun's rage down, just slightly. Slowly, he pried himself off Cyrus and tried to escape the other's embrace, glaring at him with intense hate, but also with the look of sympathy. Where had the man gone? What had he done? What happened to his Pokemon? The questions were tearing at Mirun's body, begging to be noticed and be answered, but only one question came from everything else, from everything he could say or do, only one thing really stuck in the blond's mind. "Who hurt you?" Yes, Mirun was possessive. Now that his lover was back, he wasn't going to let him out of his sights or the sights of his most trusted Pokemon. No one would touch Cyrus or even glance at him in the wrong way. No, this man was for Mirun only. And someone had hurt his possession. That was an act punishable by death in Mirun's book. He would be in the same place if one of his children were hurt, too. One of the horses neighed, lifting up its lips to show its teeth, pawing at the ground of the stall. Was it time to work them already? Glancing back, Mirun gave the horse a glare, the Pokemon shaking the flaming mane and went quiet, shifting its weight in anticipation to be saddled and ridden in the work pin. Turning back to Cyrus, Mirun felt pained that he had more work to do, but he was happy to see the man again. Kanashi should be done with the other Pokemon by now anyway, and so would William, they could work the horses and get them ready for the races. And if they lost Oh well, it wouldn't be that big of an impact in the money pool, but in reputation was another thing. Nothing he couldn't gain back, but still. He bent down and picked up the cane, holding it out for Cyrus to take back. "You and your Pokemon must be hungry. It's almost time for lunch anyway," he said, looking at Mozart. The dragon had curled around his fairy queen, a tail draped around her while his eyes glared at the mutt that dared to glare at the one the dragon so fondly adored. Mozart seemed more than content to stay where he was, enjoying the company of the Mawile again, but he slowly moved, lifting his heavy head to eye Mirun, as if asking what they would be doing. If it was food, then he could easily kill one of the head Tauros and present it to his dear as a trophy of her return, but he had a feeling Mirun wouldn't be so happy about that. Especially this close to the cattle selling season. If anything, he needed some of the males round and fat so he could sell them for meat, and the others strong and in shape so he could sell them to bull riders and fighters. The females? Well, they did whatever they wanted to do. He needed them and at least one male to keep the herd going. -- peach ; ewe

If I fall back downyou're gonna help me back ---up again* Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make it alright Got my enemies crossed out in my sight I take a bad situation gonna make it right In the shadows of darkness I stand in the light You see it's our style to keep it true I've had a bad year, a lot to go through I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue She's not the one coming back for you She's not the one coming back for you* Cyrus didn't want to let Mirun go at all. He'd fought tooth and nail and more or less had escaped the hospital to be with him. All he wanted right now was to cling to him and reacquaint himself with the breeder. That and have lots and lots of sex, injured knee and angry Mirun be damned. He slowly relinquished his hold with a whine and a pout. His hands still stayed on Mirun though, both to keep him balanced and as a reassurance that he was hallucinating off pain meds or something else. Cyrus smirked at Mirun's words. That was his man, angry as hell but more concerned about who had dared to hurt his lover. "I foolishly took a very well paying job against a ring of mercenaries. I killed a few of them but they managed to get in a few good licks. Tore up my knee pretty good. At least I got the paycheck at the end of it all." Way to much of it had gone to medical bill but... hey he'd gotten something out of the whole ordeal. Not that it made things any better. He should never have left.
Cyrus probably should feel bad for taking Mirun away from his work but honestly he was more than happy to be selfish. The blond look like he needed some rest and Cyrus was all about being selfish. He took the cane, sorry to loose the excuse to hold onto Mirun. "I'm starving. Though if you happen to have any pain killers I wouldn't turn one of those down either. Unless I can have a kiss instead?" A kiss from Mirun would chase away the pain for a good long while. Oh how he'd missed it. Hell he'd missed everything and anything to do with Mirun.
Iris patted Mozarts tail lovingly and sighed happily. She eyed his scales, wondering when he'd gotten the gray. He was far to powerful and handsome to be getting old. The mawile would fight with anyone who dared to call him old. He would be handsome forever as far as she was concerned and no other pokemon would ever do. It was a good thing Cyrus had no plans to ever breed her. She would never agree to such a thing. Mozart didn't need to do anything to prove himself to her. Iris cooed and leaned against his warm hide as she softly stroked his scales and purred at the muscle underneath. ❚ WORDSso many xx - ❚ TAGS Dew- ❚ NOTESQuick! Put a collar on your man Mirun!

Mercenaries, huh? Mirun took note to make a few calls to Fang to get the names of the people that were near Cyrus during that attack. The man should know, and if not, Mirun had other ways of finding out. Either way, he studied Cyrus, knowing that his knee must be bothering him. A sly smirk came to Mirun's face before it faded as quickly as it had come. Perhaps there were ways of punishing Cyrus for leaving without telling him. With a knee injury involved, that punishment got a lot clearer. He eyed the man curiously, moving forward just enough to give him a kiss. It wasn't passion filled or anything like that, but it was almost a 'welcome home' kiss. He pulled back, giving a sly smile before whistling, Mozart shifting his weight on the hay. "You can have both. Come on, as soon as we get to the facility, I'll make dinner and give you a little... present," he said, expecting Cyrus to keep up, even with that knee. Mirun, being the medical professional he was, knew that the worst thing for Cyrus was to push it, but hell, he would repair it in surgery in less than four hours. Plus, he could use it to his advantage for right now. Mozart nuzzled Iris before he moved, leaving the hay to take to his feet. Shaking out the heavy armored scales, he followed Mirun, sniffing the air. He gave a roar to the distance, getting a howl in response. Sirius would tell Kanashi to come train the horses, which meant less things to worry about for Mirun. Waiting for Iris, the dragon followed at his own pace, taking a relaxing walk instead of bustling behind Mirun like usual. This season always made the dragon a little lazier than other times, unless something needed him to jump into action right away. Things would be fine, of course, they were just going from the barn to the facility. Then it would e lunch time, then nap time. It would be even better since he had the lovely Mawile with him as well. Still, Mozart was curious to see what Mirun had planned for Cyrus, He wasn't the kind to just forget and forgive, especially when something like this happened. Mirun purposefully walked at a fast pace, holding the door to the hatchery open. The cool air came pouring out of the open door. It might be fall, but damn was it still hot. At least it would be cooling down soon. He yawned and went to a closet when everyone was in, messing around in the boxes before he pulled something out. Ah, yes, this would do nicely. He had removed the collar he once wore, and kept it off after Cyrus had been gone for about three weeks, but he would put it back on when he forgave the man. He walked over to his lover and clipped it on. "I'll get it engraved with my number later, in case you get lost again. That way you can be returned," he said, going to the kitchen after to make some lunch. Maybe he would add a leash. -- peach ; Be happy with that kiss, Cyrus ewe he might not give you another one for a while

If I fall back downyou're gonna help me back ---up again* Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make it alright Got my enemies crossed out in my sight I take a bad situation gonna make it right In the shadows of darkness I stand in the light You see it's our style to keep it true I've had a bad year, a lot to go through I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue She's not the one coming back for you She's not the one coming back for you* Cyrus was more than a little disappointed he didn't get a full on passionate kiss. He was proud of himself that he didn't whine or drool after Mirun like he wanted to. He was well aware he was a love sick puppy and would be paying for his disappearance for a long time. The good thing was the fact he was a masochistic and loved Mirun unconditionally so he would put up with anything. Even if that meant he was hobbling awkwardly and painfully after his lover. "Yes of course darling. Thank you."
Licking his lips, Cyrus leaned heavily on his cane and hurried along. It probably wasn't good for his knee but neither was the walk here. Besides even if he was crippled for life as long as he was with Mirun it didn't matter. Well that and if he was able to scare off young kids getting their breeding pokemon by shouting and waving his cane around like an old man. It was all about staying positive and having fun. Still Cyrus doubted Mirun would let him hobble for long. The trainer kept his smile in place even as his knee sent shooting pains up to his hip and back down with every step.
Iris hummed and got up after Mozart. She brushed any hay off her legs and back and took her place at the other pokemon's side. Mirun deserved every bit of pain he got and she was apt to take the breeders side in this. Still she kept an eye on her trainer, just in case things went to far. She would step in and fend off Mirun should things stray into something that might permanently injured Cyrus. Iris kept a hand against Mozart's leg as they walked. It was almost like a stroll and she rather enjoyed it.
Cyrus paused, curious as to what Mirun was digging out of the drawer. As the leather collar appeared and was secured around his neck the man purred. Oh yes he remembered this and actually preferred to wear it. "Don't forget to put that stealing is punishable by death." Cyrus gimped along faithfully trailer the breeder to the kitchen. ❚ WORDSso many xx - ❚ TAGS Dew- ❚ NOTESCyrus approves of the collar!
