Kanashi is your typical teenager some days. He loves to shop, hang out with friends, and get his nails done. He has an odd taste in fashion and loves to give others fashion advice. Shopping is his life and he's more than willing to beg his father into letting him use the credit card. Even he has his limits with price, however, and won't go overboard. Otherwise, he's pretty normal. He is an amazing cook and is very good with Pokemon, not only because he's a Gijinka but because he was raised around them for so long he is able to understand them better.
He is a rather sweet individual that is sometimes hard to understand. He has had his fair share of heartbreak and suffering with others, and tries not to get too close, but he's rather soft despite having a cold dragon living in his mind. He wants to be everyone's friend and sometimes something more if he feels like he trust someone enough. He's careful near those he could ever call more than a friend, in fear of getting hurt and being left behind. He tends to be peaceful and joking and welcoming during every single time of year except winter.
During the winter, he falls into the mating season of his Pokemon's species and suffers from the dragon in his head.This causes horrible mood swings and extreme violence and even depression. He is changeable during this time and will fight everyone for dominance, and even try to dominate anyone the dragon in him seems as a worthy mate. One could say he isn't himself during this time. His father decided to lock him up in a special safety room during these times. Kanashi seems to hate it, but his human side doesn't mind. He actually thinks it is for the better that he is down there, so he doesn't hurt anyone.
He's a loyal person and will stick by his friends and family and he's a good listener, but sometimes the angry dragon in his head will take over what he is trying to say and make it come out colder or harsher than Kanashi meant. He doesn't mean it and some people don't understand his mind isn't always under the control of his human side. It is a constant war. One way to draw out his dragon side is by physically hurting him or someone or something he cares about. The dragon's territorial side will come out and he will fight whoever did it until they or he can't move an inch.

A small experiment between a small group of scientist resulted in Kanashi. Their goal was to make a Gijinka that appeared more human than Pokemon. This had already been done, but the group of scientist wished to do it themselves. They carefully selected DNA from many Pokemon but nearly all of the subjects came out less than preferred. Having tails and ears and horns. Kanashi was the last trial run they would do. The scientist messed around with the shiny Haxorus DNA they were using and human DNA, and found a mistake in their calculations. They would require a very rare blood defect to get the results they wanted. The only person close enough with this defect was none other than Mirun, the Region's head breeder.
It took around three months to get Mirun to cave in and agree to donating some of his blood for the test, this also meant giving up his DNA. The scientist explained the child would be his own blood, a biological son, and he would have to take it if the surrogate mother refused. Mirun pinned all his hopes on the mother taking Kanashi, but fate had other plans. He stayed with the scientist, making sure they mixed the DNA properly. He only helped thanks to being payed for his services in genetics. The egg was fertilized then placed in the mother when they finished mixing the DNA and played the waiting game.
Once Kanashi was born, the scientist said he was a success, but the mother refused to take him and left. Mirun was handed a newborn child and wasn't very pleased about it. Being a parent was something he never really saw himself doing. He got over it and raised Kanashi the best he could. Sending the boy to school never crossed Mirun's mind, finding it better if he was tutored at home. Thankfully, Mrs. Thornfield was rather good at language, literature, and social standards. Kanashi learned everything about being proper from her, law from Moss, and fighting with come backs from Flame. Mirun stopped the lessons with Flame and hired actual tutors for Kanashi, getting him an education.

It took four years before he figured out Kanashi was more interested in fashion than he was in anything else. From the time Kanashi got his license and a motorcycle, he was spending more time at the mall and with designers than he was on his studies. Mirun, not having the heart to make his son (that he began attached to like a normal parent) let him do as he wanted but made the deal 'do good in your studies and I'll give you money'.
When Kanashi was eighteen, he got a brother, William. The hatred between the two brothers was obvious to anyone that saw them at first, but hearts softened over time. He was stronger than his older brother thanks to his Pokemon side and won every fight they had, until William grew a back bone and started giving him a challenge. Life, for the most part, was normal, and Kanashi finally became interested in breeding when he found he had a deep obsession with birds, besides Chatot. He told his father that he would take over the family business when the old man decided to retire, and Kanashi could never forget the pride he saw in his dad's eyes.
To this day, Kanashi spends time traveling from place to place training and collecting birds and hopes to start breeding under his dad's watchful eyes while helping his brother out whenever he can.
