If an electric type move is used when Mio is around, then it instantly changes course and heads for Mio. If a Pokemon or Gijinka has become the center of attention (Follow Me, Me First, etc.), then the electric move will redirect to them. This ability gives Mio immunity to any and all electric-type moves, even the effects of Thunder Wave. Thunderstorms are dangerous for Mio because of this ability.
Egg Move:
Volt Tackle (EGG)
Personality:
Due to his impish nature, Mio can be considered a prankster. He's always willing to do something that may or may not get him into trouble. He's normally running around, swiping things that aren't his and hiding them somewhere. Any prank he pulls is normally harmless as he has his job on the line. It's obvious when he does something because he has the hardest time hiding his smile. That smile is almost always there unless the time calls for it (acting on stage or in front of a camera).
Mio-chan was bred to be a performer. This is in the quite literal sense--shown below--but it's not just his lineage that makes him a performer. He's strict to the rules of being an idol: everything is for the fans, an idol is only as good as its fan base, etc. If it isn't for the fans, then it isn't worth doing. Of course, even he has his moments of going against code. He can be quite selfish and stubborn, especially when it comes to sweets.
During thunderstorms, Mio is normally confined to a special room within the band's RV. This room has rubber walls, flooring, and ceiling, making sure that there isn't any possible way for the lightning to draw towards him. When Mio has too much electricity stored within him, he can become quite irritable and will even seem like he's in a lot of pain--which he is. When confined to that room and lacking all that electricity, then he becomes needy and clingy because his manager rarely allows anyone to open the doors. He's bolted a couple of times. Mio is also prone to illness as he has always been a weak child. When he's out in public, not only does he have to wear a disguise but a medical mask as well.

History:
This boy was born Kaede Nishimura, or Patient #1528. His parents are unknown to the world, and he even refers to his father as 'the sperm donor' and his mother as 'the eggbandoner'. Oh, the poor excuse for a pun to lighten the mood. He was infused with the DNA of a Pichu two months before his birth. Upon his arrival into the world, he was instantly rushed into critical care. He was born premature and far smaller than the average baby. He wasn't stable and fit to be unhooked from the machines until he was already three years old.
He was a sickly child growing up. The doctors blamed the eggbandoner while the nurses blamed the sperm donor. For Mio? It was both of them. Normally someone would blame the Pichu DNA, but he didn't. In fact, it was that DNA that saved his life. If it weren't for the Pichu DNA, then he would have been stillborn. It wasn't until he was six that things slowly started to improve. During the years he was recovering, the nurses would always bring in different CDs and DVDs with different songs and live concerts on them. He never understood why at first, but he enjoyed it nonetheless.
When he was six, a man he didn't know walked into his room, accompanied by his doctor. He was told that he was his manager--Takenaka-sensei. Later he found out that he was only created because a large company bought his rights before he was conceived so he could become an idol. Did this bother him? It did. At first, that is. He grew accustomed to it. He was given the stage name Mio-chan, and he hasn't used his real name since. Thus began his career as a crossdressing, colored contact wearing idol.
Since his manager showed up, he was forced into many lessons: voice, guitar, piano, acting, dance. He mastered all the skills given to him by the time he was thirteen. It was then that his true job began. He was introduced to a few other people and told that they were his new band. Well, band is one way to put it. Normally they have people playing the music for them while they function more as a group, singing and dancing on stage, but there are times when they would actually function as a band.
Even as a rookie group--using pop, rock, and Visual Kei elements--they wooed the fans everywhere. Their popularity skyrocketed because, let's face it, girls are easy to manipulate when a pretty man or boy is on stage. They captured the hearts of girls and boys everywhere, winning different awards and touring whenever they could. Their current tour? The Phoenix region.
