★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★  NAME: nine SPECIES: houndoom (contracted; were-shifter) GENDER: male ABILITY: flash fire EGGS & TMS: destiny bond PERSONALITY: nine tries to keep on a strong front, especially when in front of... well, everyone. he is aggressive, growling out his words and clenching his teeth at the slightest annoyance. violence is not uncommon around nine, and he isn't afraid to snap at anything or anyone he decides that he does not like. which is almost everyone. there is no changing that. this aggressive front he puts on is almost like a self-defense system to keep people within arm's reach at the bare minimum. his trust in humanity and most pokemon has decreased so much over the years that very few are allowed closer than arm's reach. he has no plans on letting anyone else closer than his pokemon and his fellow knights. everyone else can take a hike. this aggressive attitude of his makes him seem frightening, especially to the new recruits. this... okay, it sums him up very well. it helps him get through the day. it helps him know who to trust and who to chase off. it helps him scare others into submission. it helps him... cope, but not even this attitude can truly hide the pain inside. going through war has mentally scarred nine beyond belief. he isn't the same man he once was. he used to be jovial and carefree. now? now, he is just a shell of his former self, a shell that has been filled with hate, rage, and blood lust. that isn't the only thing that has replaced the man he once was. he developed PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder. it's harder for him to sleep at night as, whenever he tries to rest, the memories of war come flooding back, all at once. he will have nightmares that send him screaming and flailing about in his bed, which can be very dangerous since either the place could burn down or the negative emotions will trigger patton's rampage. nights are emotionally draining for nine, and it isn't uncommon for his wound to reopen in the middle of the night. after certain nightmares, a wave of guilt (and fear) will wash over him because he pins most of their comrade's deaths on himself. he tries to avoid anything that would remind him of the war, though he seems completely fine with the other knights. it's... just everything else that makes him anxious.  NAME: marlon (marly, mar-mar) SPECIES: arcanine GENDER: male ABILITY: flash fire EGGS & TMS: morning sun PERSONALITY: marlon has been with nine since the man was born. he is fiercely protective of nine, and the two see each other more as family than trainer and pokemon. marlon is usually a calm canine, allowing nine (and really only nine) to ride on his back like a steed. he sometimes wears the old battle armor from the phoenix-regnum war.  NAME: errol SPECIES: aegislash GENDER: genderless, masculine pronouns ABILITY: stance change EGGS & TMS: wide guard PERSONALITY: having been with nine since he was ten, errol is often used as exactly what he is: a sword and shield. he has been trained to allow certain pokemon on the team to wield him as such, often times doubling their power. a quiet pokemon, errol doesn't seem to converse much with anyone, and it can be hard to tell what he is thinking unless you're part of the team.  NAME: patton SPECIES: hydreigon GENDER: male ABILITY: levitate EGGS & TMS: earth power PERSONALITY: the most aggressive of the bunch, patton is known for his huge appetite and his horrible temper. he is often used as the sheer force of the group, and he is often sent out whenever nine loses his temper or cannot deal with anyone anymore. if patton is out, then something is wrong.  NAME: terrance SPECIES: metagross GENDER: genderless, masculine pronouns ABILITY: clear body EGGS & TMS: n/a PERSONALITY: the most intelligent, terrance is the strategist. nine often consults him for courses of action, and it is often terrance who can talk nine out of his outrageous ideas he has every so often, assuming one cannot do the job beforehand. terrance is used for transportation, putting his levitation powers to good use.  NAME: cepheus SPECIES: golurk GENDER: genderless, masculine pronouns ABILITY: iron fist EGGS & TMS: n/a PERSONALITY: cepheus is stoic. there are times when he will stand so still without any expression that he looks like nothing more than a statue. he is the oldest out of all of nine's pokemon, even older than nine. cepheus was once one of the original protectors of regnum, having seen people come and go and wars won and lost. he is highly protective over the remaining knights of regnum. sprite

 SPECIES: giratina GENDER: genderless, masculine pronouns TYPE: dragon - ghost ABILITY: levitate (origin), pressure (altered) EGGS & TMS: n/a PERSONALITY: cast away by his own brother, damned for all of eternity to live within the pokemon world's version of hell, the distortion world, it isn't very hard to understand why giratina acts the way he does. he is cruel, cunning, and manipulative. he doesn't take no for an answer, and the blackness of his heart, if he can even be considered to have one, leaves room for nothing but hatred. he yearns for revenge, on his brother and on the human race. why the human race? because they blindly worship their so-called deity. the shun him, reject him, curse his very name. of course, there are those who have sworn loyalty to him. lord giratina does not have time for soft spots, but he will do what he must to protect those who vow complete loyalty to them, those who sell their souls to him. lord giratina is territorial, and he goes to every length to make sure that no one enters his domain without paying a price. he tortures the very souls that arceus sends to him for one reason or another. he makes their eternal afterlife a literal hell in a dimension where he reigns supreme. his demons, creations from when he was imprisoned in the distortion world to both keep him company and to do his bidding in the mortal realm, follow his every word, both due to respect and the fear of being turned back into nothingness. he keeps them on tight leashes, even the stronger demons which were given more free reign on the mortal realm. he expects even those demons to submit to him, and many have faced his fiery temper for insubordination.
